IPX4, IPX8, IP68

What are these codes?

The IP Degree of Protection (Ingress Protection) is a standard that indicates the ability of an object to protect its components against the intrusion of foreign materials.

The IP Degree of Protection refers to the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standard, which is why it is also used in mobile phones, cameras, etc. This standard allows the consumer to see beyond marketing to understand the real degree of protection of a product.

IP codes are formed with the IP identification and two digits indicating the level of protection.

– The letters “IP” indicate that it is an IP
code – The first digit represents the level of protection against solid particles, such as dust.
– The second digit describes the level of protection against liquids, such as water.

The S Series headlamps are IP68 certified, which means:

IP = IP
ID 6 = The flashlight is completely protected with dust
8 = The flashlight can be submerged underwater up to 1m deep.
